I ordered 4 pairs of these earbuds because I got sick and tired of ordering other earbuds and having them work for about a month before I lost the sound in one earbud. After 5 months, I still have not had to open the other 3 Gerson earbuds that I ordered because the quality is amazing. Great sound (from both earbuds!!) and great quality. The cord is made of a nylon-type material; not cheap plastic as attested to by the other reviewer. Save yourself time and aggravation and order these earbuds. Whatever the asking price is, there is no substitute for quality!
